Mapping Queerness: My Body as a Queer Space presents Assi Abogado lying against a detailed cartographic background, with each point on their body corresponding to significant geographical locations that have shaped their personal and queer identity. The work transforms the artist’s body into a living map, using visual metaphor to explore the intersections of queering, memory, and identity. At once intimate and expansive, it considers how environments and experiences are inseparable from the formation of self.
