Relic Suspension is a Dubai-based multidisciplinary incubator for (in)formal practices, moving across exhibitions, artistic research, sound, publishing, and material experimentation. What began as Assi Abogado’s personal archive of images and references gradually developed with Nathaniel Enriquez into a self-funded, DIY platform that gathers fragments of memory, cultural reference, and material histories, treating the relic as a living language through which the past can be reworked in the present.
Assi founded and co-directs the platform, shaping its curatorial research, visual language, and public expressions. Their role moves across concept development, curation, writing, artist liaison, exhibition production, art direction, and spatial thinking, bringing each project from its earliest references into exhibitions, installations, printed matter, sonic encounters, and collaborative programmes.
